The school is ideally situated to serve as a spring board for expeditions to the rivers and jungles of Borneo and the South China Sea.

 The 100 acre beachfront site in which Outward Bound Sabah is set is 25km south of Kota Kinabalu. A 30 minute drive along the main road towards Papar will bring participants to the Kawang river alongside which the school is located. The location of the school is ideal for various activities with direct access to the South China Sea and the Kawang River, and close proximity to the mountains and jungle areas.
