The
Outreach Programme is our social responsibility to help to shape the
future generation of Sabah. Our programmes help to develop a resilience,
confidence and compassionate individuals. Kurt Hahn once said "There is no
greater treasure of a nation than its citizen". People from all walks of
life regardless of their physical condition, race, religion and background
should be given the opportunity to develop their potentials.
As a non-profit organisation, it is extremely
difficult to outreach the target group without source of funding. However,
the corporate sector has been very supportive to us and this has actually
made possible for us to run such programme. Our goal is to outreach to
under-privileged group especially from the rural areas, the special group
(people with disabilities, old folks, cancer survivor etc). Our staff has
been enthusiastic about running this programme. They walk the
extra mile, contribute their time and energy in order to see a successful
outreach
programme. In turn, it is in the faces of the participants who appreciate our efforts
that really give us satisfaction.
If
you like to support OBS in its goals or would like to offer help to OBS,
please contact us via email or call us. The following are some of the
write-ups of the past outreach programme that have been conducted.
