The Outward Bound Trust of Sabah is a non-profit organization which was registered on 6 February 1985 in the State of Sabah.  It is managed by a Board of Trustees who have, at least, four Council meeting and one Annual General meeting per annum. All Directors are volunteers and since the opening of the school had devote time and efforts for the development of the organization. They select and nominate the Executive Director who is in charge of the management of the school.

The current Executive Director of the school is Datuk Gabriel William, J.P (far right). The main focus of his activities at Outward Bound Sabah has been to further develop the educational process of the activities and staff development. Outward Bound Sabah employs 23 people including 10 Instructional Staff, who are its key operations staff. All instructors are required to undergo the Internal Qualifications System in which overseas training will follows.
